Hi Keshia! If you have not filed yet for 2021, there is no problem. you will be asked to provide info for the last two years you have filed. The Upsolve Learning Center has a terrific section, https://upsolve.org/learn/category/taxes/ and I hope you go take advantage of this info! Good luck to you! :-)

In general, what matters is whether the tax deadline for the year has passed or not. Just remember that even if you haven't filed yet, an expected tax return would generally be listed on the forms!

Hello, I am looking for a good joint account to open with my family. My father and I both feel it would be a great way to create a healthy relationship between us all. We plan to use it for primarily our cell phone bill, but it sounds like there could be endless possibilities. Our major problem using a major bank is my low credit score. I am ineligible for joint accounts (and otherwise) at both Wells Fargo and Chase. Know of any suggestions?

Some people have better luck with credit unions and credit unions can have advantages over big banks, but if you're going to file bankruptcy that might not be your best option. The article https://upsolve.org/learn/credit-unions-and-bankruptcy/ explains more.

My only regret is I let the problem snowball as bad as it did before I filed.

Ashley, for me, personally, I have NO regrets about filing although a couple years ago, even though I am an educated person, the "B" word bothered me in a similar way that the "D" (divorce) word bothered me. It's the same thing, really. We hear these terms all of our lives that these are bad things yet they are there for a purpose. Going through either of them is not pleasant but the outcome brings Fresh Starts and it is now up to us to take positive advantage of our new day! Thanks for asking! :-)
