Hello, I am looking for a good joint account to open with my family. My father and I both feel it would be a great way to create a healthy relationship between us all. We plan to use it for primarily our cell phone bill, but it sounds like there could be endless possibilities. Our major problem using a major bank is my low credit score. I am ineligible for joint accounts (and otherwise) at both Wells Fargo and Chase. Know of any suggestions?

Great article! FYI, Chime (fintech) has no issue --- in fact, they name a GREAT program, "Credit Builder" to address those who are just starting out or have been caught in a "Life" event that brought about a bankruptcy.

Generally, bank accounts wouldn't be frozen in bankruptcy. However, certain banks do have a policy of freezing accounts during bankruptcy- you can learn more here! https://upsolve.org/learn/keeping-a-checking-account-during-bankruptcy/

Should I change banks? My car is going to be surrendered and I bank with the same one as my car loan.
